ABOUT US
Sean McLain is an entrepreneur, producer, screenwriter, and entertainment executive with a career spanning film, media, publishing, and intellectual property development. As co-founder and former CEO of Acme Archives Ltd., he built one of the entertainment industry's premier licensed art publishing companies, securing partnerships with Disney, Lucasfilm, Marvel, Warner Bros., Universal, DreamWorks, Microsoft, Fox and other global brands before successfully exiting the business in 2022. Earlier in his career, McLain developed and produced feature films and television projects with major studios including Disney and Warner Bros., collaborating with acclaimed talent such as Patrick Stewart, Robin Williams, John Goodman, Tim Allen, and Richard Dreyfuss. His work has earned recognition through award-winning documentaries, collaborations with NASA and George Lucas, and innovative museum and educational experiences. A Writers Guild of America member with a proven record of transforming creative concepts into commercially successful ventures, McLain now co-leads Flying Monkies, where he combines decades of storytelling, licensing, and business leadership to develop a growing portfolio of original entertainment properties.
Emmy Award® winner Peter Ferk is an internationally recognized animation director, storyboard artist, and creative executive whose career has helped shape some of the world's most successful animated franchises. In particular, Peter held a design role in the acclaimed Batman The Animated Series followed by over more than three decades, he has held creative leadership roles for Warner Bros., Netflix, Sony, Discovery, Nelvana, and other leading studios, contributing to acclaimed productions including Batman: The Animated Series, Animaniacs, Superman, Pinky and the Brain, and Disney’s 101 Dalmatians, Elf, and Netflix's Disenchantment. Known for his ability to lead creative teams while delivering world-class storytelling and production excellence, Ferk has also mentored the next generation of artists as participating professor at Laguna College of Art and Design. Together with longtime creative partner Sean McLain, he is co-founder of Flying Monkies, where they are developing a robust slate of original entertainment properties designed for global audiences across film, television, animation, and emerging media.
